“I can do nothing for you but work on myself…you can do nothing for me but work on yourself!” - Ram Dass
Jess joined Ecentric in late 2006 after starting her journey with the work in New York City. Close friends Anne Tierney and Steve Sierra of www.innovativebodysolutions.com trained with Bob Cooley and have their own impressive rehab and training practice and introduced Jess to the bodywork after her bicycle accident in 2005. Anne and Steve got her back on the bike and even playing basketball again with the techniques of Meridian Flexibility. As a lifelong athlete, including college basketball at San Francisco State University, Jess had experienced most types of traditional training and rehab and after one session of the work, she knew this system was something special. Jessica began training with Anne and Steve at workshops across the USA.
“Using eccentric contractions with Anne and Steve, we were able to remove the trauma from my hands, wrists, and arms – which took the brunt of the shock during my fall. Now, with the addition of the Ecentric method, I’ve found new clarity and awareness in my life on many levels, mentally and physically ‘unwinding’ and developing strength spiritually and emotionally.”
Jessica has a background in Eastern Perspectives, Acupressure, Reiki, and intuitive healing. Balanced with a bachelor of science in Business Management, Jess also coordinates Ecentric Strength’s marketing efforts to increase awareness and plan for growth.
When Jess isn’t mashing your hamstrings, you’ll most likely find her on the basketball court, on her bike, or trying San Diego’s latest organic eatery. Jessica’s travels have allowed her to experience Costa Rica, Hawaii, England, France, Italy, Germany, and Switzerland and she hopes to continue traveling to bring Ecentric Strength to other continents in the future.
